HILL FOUR

This design was a replacement of an existing house that was structurally unsound. We expanded the existing courtyard plan into an “H” plan, to create courts on the view side as well as the protected uphill side of the house. The additional challenge was to maximize the square footage of the garden as well as the house, which we accomplished through a terracing and grading of the garden space.
