Following a phased timeline, Water 3 needed to create volume and open space in a single-story home for its new owners. The space was split down the middle to avoid having to lift the home to FEMA standards. The program includes 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. A strong relationship with the water and backyard was a priority while staying turned away from the street and accessing sunlight on all sides.
The streamlined materials palette included concrete, black-painted steel, and white-painted siding.
